MR VETIVER
This is a story about a man encountered somewhere near Java. People say he is tall, with skin that has been tanned by the sun and tattooed by the passage of time. He can often be spotted on the plains of the Garut regions, speeding along his old Dutch bicycle. But who is he? ‘Mr. Vetiver’ celebrates him with an elegant and refined fragrance revealing the freshness of Vetiver in a spicy and delicate accord of cardamom. SUGAR LEATHER
Our nomadic caravan stretches forth in silence. We move to the rhythm of camels, in an almost hypnotic pendulum movement. The saddle of our hosts, heated by an arrogant sun, gives off the sweet and delicate scent of leather. We are approaching Al Khaluf. The landscape is almost lunar. The sand’s color has changed to a blinding white. On these sugar dunes, we become minuscule. ‘Sugar Leather’ is like a piece of leather covered in white sand and caramelized by the sun. A decadent, racy, spicy fragrance. TOP NOTES Cinnamon · Plum HEART NOTES Amyris · Tonka Bean · Patchouli BASE NOTES Leather · Caramel · Labdanum
SUMA ORIENTAL
‘Suma Oriental’ refers to the brilliant collection of writings by Tomé Pires, a Portugese apothecary in the 16th century. In a very detailed description of an insular southeast Asia, Suma Oriental revealed for the first time that sandalwood originated in the Sumba (modern day Indonesia). His work inspired renowned perfumer Coty to create the 1934 fragrance ‘A Suma’, which evoked the moonlit beaches of Bali. ‘Suma Oriental’ is a mesmerizing scent that enhances Patchouli in lush agreement with wooded and creamy notes.
